ALA reviews ‘Historical Dictionary’ to AU’s students

Sharjah24: The Arabic Language Academy in Sharjah (ALA) hosted an academic delegation from Ajman University (AU), headed by Dr. Fayez Al Thneibat, Head of the Arabic Language Department at the university.
The delegation was received by Dr. Muhammad Safi Al Mosteghanemi, The Secretary-General of the Academy, along with several departmental officials in the academy.

The Academy organised an introductory seminar on the "Historical Dictionary of the Arabic Language", during which Dr. Al Mosteghanemi spoke about the editors’ work on the dictionary, reviewed the mechanism of creating the computer blog for the dictionary database, and briefed the audience on the difference between the "Historical Dictionary of the Arabic Language" and other traditional heritage dictionaries.
 
Dr. Al Mosteghanemi praised the great efforts of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, in sponsoring this project, stressing that the completion of the dictionary is an addition to knowledge for researchers in arts and everyone interested in the Arabic Language.
 
The delegation toured the Academy’s library, which contains an enormous collection of books in Arabic linguistics, books in the Quran and hadith interpretation, and other sciences.
