Ahmed Al Hosani, Head of Construction Projects Department in the Western Region at the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure, revealed the imminent completion of the construction works for the Madam District Court and Prosecution building project, in which the Ministry applies 3D printing technology for the first time.
In statements to “Sharjah 24”, he said that in line with the aspirations of the wise leadership and in accordance with the ministry's strategy to bring in the most advanced technologies, the technology was applied for the first time at the level of federal government projects in some project facilities.
He explained that the results of the experiment indicate an expected boom and expansion in the use of 3D printers in the construction sector, because of their positive impact on several levels.
Al-Hosani confirmed that the ministry, according to the results of the experiment; A remarkable abundance of time and effort has been felt, at a rate of no less than 50%, compared to regular projects, in addition to reducing the waste of construction waste by up to 60%, due to the lack of human intervention and the accuracy of artificial intelligence-powered robots.
The Head of the Construction Projects Department in the Western Region at the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure added that the building materials used in the unique experience enhance the life span of the building remarkably for its solidity and sustainability, expressing his expectations that 3D printers will be one of the tools of the future that can contribute to the process of construction and development. in the state.
