The event highlights the importance of technical and vocational education and training (TVET) as part of Abu Dhabi’s efforts to develop the skills of the future economy.
Sheikh Abdullah attended part of a session aimed at inspiring participating Emirati youth, who shared their educational backgrounds in applied technology.
During the event, Sheikh Abdullah highlighted his pride of the Emirati youth, stressing that the country’s achievements and leadership in all areas will continue for the next 50 years, supported by the ambitions of young generations and their keenness to acquire advanced skills and knowledge.
He then toured the forum’s projects and an exhibition on advanced industries, which showcase projects in the areas of aviation, automotive industry, construction, engineering and interior design.
Sheikh Abdullah lauded the keenness of the forum’s participants to engage in innovation and acquire and develop their skills continuously while commending the Leaders Forum organised by ACTVET and associated initiatives and programmes, which will help build the capacities of future generations.
The forum was also attended by Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Economy; and a number of senior local officials.
