SCHF7 hold honouring ceremony in Tunisia

Sharjah24: The Sharjah Cultural Honouring Forum 7 (SCHF) held its honouring ceremony in Carthage, Tunisia, where four Tunisian writers will be honoured: the poet Al Monsef Al Muzghani, the writer Bashir Ben Salama, the writer Rachid Al Thawadi, and the writer Muhammad Khreif

The honoring ceremony was held in ceremony halls of Carthage Municipality, in the presence of Abdullah Al Owais, Chairman of Sharjah Department of Culture (SDC), Dr. Hayat Bayoudh, Chairperson of the Municipality, Mr. Mohamed Ibrahim Al Qasir, Director of the Department of Cultural Affairs in the SDC, the poet Jamila Al Majri, Director of the House of Poetry in Kairouan, and several Tunisians intellectuals. 

Dr. Hatem Al Fatanasi affirmed Sharjah's great role in supporting Arab culture under the wise directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah.

The audience watched a documentary recording significant cultural turning-points of the honoured writers, as well as their works, produced over decades.

Abdullah Al Owais delivered a speech stating that the SDC is pleased to hold the 7th edition of the Sharjah Cultural Honouring Forum,  showing appreciation to the efforts of Arab literary figures that contributed to enriching the culture with their high literary production.

The head of the Department of Culture expressed his gratitude for the cooperation in holding the ceremony, and also conveyed the greetings of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah

The Chairperson of Carthage Municipality was delighted for Carthage's hosting of the forum, which derives its importance from the significance of Sharjah's great cultural role and Arab and Tunisian cultural figures' role in the world.

At the end of the ceremony, Al Owais and Muhammad Al Qasir handed certificates and memorial shields over to the four honorees, in appreciation of their intellectual efforts.
