The event includes 83 purebred Arabian horses, horses of local production, and purebred hybrid horses, plus 8 reserve horses, for a total prize fund of AED310,000.
Sheikh Abdullah bin Majid Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Sharjah Equestrian and Racing Club, emphasised the importance of promoting local horse breeding, particularly the Arabian horse, in accordance with His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah’s directives. "To promote breeders in the country, we organised the Emirates Cup for producers, a race for breeding owners, with the goal of increasing producers and encouraging horse breeding, as well as encouraging owners to join producers," he explained.
