Sharjah24: The third edition of the Sharjah Kalba Arabian Horse Festival (SKAHF), was kicked off on Thursday by Sharjah Equestrian and Racing Club, on the shores of Kalba.
Sheikh Abdullah bin Majid Al Qasimi, club president and head of the organising committee, affirmed that the festival has become one of the most prominent events in the region concerned with Arabian horses in a record time.
In statements to “Sharjah 24” , he commended the efforts of the committees participating in organising the event which led to attract a huge number of visitors in its third edition.
Al Qasimi expressed his happiness of the festival, which succeeds to attract hundreds of purebred Arabian horses from different emirates, which highlights the value of the national heritage among new generation and underscored the event as one of the most prominent events in Kalba.
The inaugurating ceremony was attended by Sheikh Saeed bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Deputy Head of the Ruler's Office in Khorfakkan; Sheikh Haitham bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Deputy Head of the Ruler's Office in Kalba, along with a number of officials and representatives of government departments.
