Sharjah – Reuters: According to official data, England reported 162,572 new cases of COVID-19 on Saturday, up from 160,276 the day before.
Furthermore, 154 new cases of the virus were reported in England within 28 days of a positive test, a decrease from 178 on Friday.

Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland are normally included in the data, but they were not on Saturday due to differences in reporting schedules over the New Year's holiday.
