Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Economic Development Department (SEDD) has carried out several visits to several industrial facilities in Sharjah to enhance permanent communication with the industrial sector, inspect the workflow in factories and their production and export programmes, and look at the most important needs and challenges facing them for the sustainability and development of the industrial sector and its activities.

The delegation of the SEDD visited the "Everest" factory, the "Ardco" factory, and "Archers", the coffee factory.

Maryam Nasser Al Suwaidi, Vice-Director of the Industrial Affairs Department at the SEDD, praised the efforts of industrial facilities in Sharjah and their impact on the industries that characterise the Emirate regionally and locally, noting that the Department's visits to industrial facilities in Sharjah are part of its endeavour to enhance permanent and continuous communication with the local business community, and closely acquainted with the economic sectors in general and the industrial sector in particular, through the exchange of views and joint work to overcome any challenges that may hinder the growth and prosperity of industrial enterprises, as well as examining the level of quality of services provided to them.

Sheikh Saoud bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Deputy Head of the Industrial Investments Section at SEDD, stressed the department’s keenness to support the plans for the spread of companies and establishments that operate in Sharjah globally and to support these companies in exporting their products to promising markets and providing facilities and services that enhance the presence of industrial companies in various countries of the world.

He pointed out that the services provided by the SEDD to industrial facilities and factory owners provide a fast and safe work environment and increase the sustainability of business, as the department is keen to provide advice and technical support to these factories to enhance the quality of their products and work on studying all the challenges and difficulties they face in order to come up with results, recommendations and supportive decisions promoting these industrial investments in Sharjah.

The owners of factories and industrial establishments appreciated the visit of the SEDD delegation, stressing their keenness to continue to work and cooperate so that their factories provide added value to the industrial sector in Sharjah and to support the efforts of Sharjah government activating the role of the private sector to be a strategic partner in achieving sustainable economic development in Sharjah.
