SEDD discusses cooperation with the Emirates Red Crescent

Sharjah 24: Sharjah Economic Development Department (SEDD) discussed enhancing ways of joint cooperation with a delegation from the Emirates Red Crescent, in light of activating cooperation policies between all government departments to serve the public interest, and discussing common topics, enhancing cooperation between both sides and building effective institutional partnerships that contribute to achieving common goals and visions.
A delegation from the Emirates Red Crescent visited SEDD headquarters, where the two sides discussed joint cooperation in the areas of community awareness, encouraging charitable and humanitarian work, and promoting a culture of volunteerism, as well as exchanging experiences that contribute to upgrading services and developing institutional performance to achieve excellence.

Abdullah Al Mahmoud, Director of the Support Services Department at SEDD, said that the Department’s meeting with the Emirates Red Crescent delegation reflects both sides’ will to coordinate efforts and activate the existing cooperation in the charitable and humanitarian fields, in addition to strengthen the principle of partnership to serve the charitable work in the UAE. 

Abdullah Al Mahmoud  added that the meeting represents an advanced step towards adopting initiatives that enhance the social responsibility aspect of all government and private agencies, and pave the way for a new phase of strategic partnership that will have a direct impact on the efforts of both sides in the humanitarian field.

Abdullah Al Mahmoud stressed that continuous cooperation and coordination with all agencies and departments provide an advanced model in the field of cooperation between local and community institutions through attention to social issues and the establishment and support of integrated humanitarian projects and programmes.

Abdul Aziz Al Midfa, Deputy Director of the Government Communications Department at SEDD confirmed that the visit aimed at strengthening cooperation between the two sides in the field of humanitarian and social works, as part of the continuous coordination plans for visits and exchange of experiences and unify joint efforts and cooperation in exchanging knowledge, expertise and experiences at all levels of research, studies and statistics in order to support the humanitarian and community work in the UAE.
