During the meeting
Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Economic Development Department (SEDD) received a delegation from the Sharjah Department of Statistics and Community Development (SDSCD) and the Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq).
This comes with the aim of consolidating relations of joint cooperation between local authorities in the Emirate, and discussing the progress of business in a number of joint projects and initiatives.

The meeting discussed a number of topics of common interest, including working to provide integrated statistical data for foreign investment in the Emirate, and facilitating the process of exchanging data and information between relevant government entities and departments, in a way that enhances the levels of the statistical process and supports sustainable development strategies in the Emirate of Sharjah.

At the beginning of the meeting, Noura bin Sandal, Deputy Director of the Department of Planning and Economic Studies at the SEDD, welcomed the delegation, expressing the role of this visit in strengthening various cooperation relations and accelerating development processes.
 
The attendees discussed the process of exchanging data between the concerned authorities, in order to achieve the desired results of the statistical process, which in turn is considered the main support for updating the database, statistics and analyses for investors and decision-makers.

The Deputy Director of the Department of Planning and Economic Studies at the SEDD confirmed that the SEDD is working to implement economic plans and conduct studies in a way that contributes to the development of the joint work system to find outputs that serve all sides. In addition to advancing the levels of service provided to investors, thus contributing to providing more services and facilities necessary for the business environment in the Emirate. 

For their part, the delegation thanked the good reception and quick response from the SEDD, stressing keenness to enhance cooperation and coordination with the SEDD, in a way that contributes to the development of the joint work system.

At the end of the meeting, the two sides highlighted the importance of enhancing future cooperation in line with the government service standards that the local and federal government aspire to, pointing out the importance of holding such meetings in the future, because of their role in accelerating development processes and enhancing the investment movement in the Emirate.
