151 events, 284 artworks at Gradate Islamic Arts Festival

Sharjah 24: Mohammed Ibrahim Al Qaseer, Director of the Cultural Affairs Department at Sharjah Department of Culture (SDC), Director of the Islamic Arts Festival, revealed the details of the 24th edition of the Islamic Arts Festival "Gradate", which will kick off on December 15, at Sharjah Art Museum.

The festival is held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, noting that the festival will host 151 activities and 284 artworks by 63 artists from 27 countries from around the world for 40 days.

Al Qaseer welcomed the attendees and gave a speech during a press conference held in the conference hall at the SDC, on Monday morning, in the presence of Abdullah Mohammed Al Owais, Head of the SDC, along with several artists participating in the festival. In his speech, He talked about the history of the festival, its goals, and what it symbolises in the field of Culture and arts.

Al Qaseer mentioned the details of the festival's activities, including exhibitions, artists, participating countries and other details.
