Sharjah Club participates in Youth World Fencing Championship

Sharjah 24: The delegation of the fencing team of Sharjah Sports Club left from Dubai International Airport, on Wednesday, heading to the Uzbek capital Tashkent, to participate in the Youth World Fencing Championship, which will run from 9 to 11 December.
The mission includes 10 individuals, including 7 players, in addition to the coach and assistant coach, and is led by the team's administrator, Sultan Ahmed Al Mazmi.

The champions of Arab fencing clubs completed all their preparations and engaged in daily exercises, during which the technical staff implemented a number of plans and strategies to compete in the tournament in order to achieve a good result.
 
Issa Hilal Al Hazami, Chairman of Sharjah Sports Council, said that the Council supports individual games and works on developing and qualifying Sharjah players by providing experience.
 
He said that the Club works according to the vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council, Ruler of Sharjah, such vision proved to be feasible with the participation of one of Sharjah Club players, Mohammed Hassan Al Nubi at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, adding that the Council continues to work and develop strategies and long-term plans.
 
Al Hazami pointed out that the strategic objective of foreign participation is to provide players with administrative and technical expertise, in addition to the technical benefit and the cumulative experience, whereas as they will become leaders in the future, whether in the administrative or technical aspect, so the Council is keen on their participation externally to learn and add to their experiences.
