Sharjah 24: Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) celebrated the 50th UAE National Day, on Monday at the Chamber's headquarters, where a large golden jubilee logo decorates its facade, in addition to several speeches to express pride and a sense of belonging.

The ceremony was attended by Abdullah Sultan Al Owais, Chairman of the SCCI, along with other members of the Chamber's Board of Directors and employees.

The SCCI extended its blessings and gratitude to the wise leadership, stressing their keenness to move towards achieving the Chamber’s objectives and strategy by enhancing the economic position of Sharjah, translating the wise vision and directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah.

Al Owais stressed that the UAE celebrates its Golden Jubilee in light of the country’s great achievements in various fields. “The National Day is a national occasion to celebrate the pride of a nation which its glories were built by the wisdom of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, and the march of development and prosperity escalated at the hands of our wise leadership, reaching to a point where the UAE competes with developed countries in innovation.

Al Owais added: The UAE nowadays is associated with innovation and the future. The National Day is adopted by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation “UNESCO” as an international day representing the future, in which all countries of the world celebrate the prospect of their development future, which embodies the prestigious international position that the UAE holds.
