SIB wins 2021 Infosys Finacle Innovation Award

Efficient provision of banking services and products
The Infosys Finacle Innovation Awards is a platform concerned with the global banking technology sector and recognizes financial institutions across the world for breakthrough innovations and novel approaches that create new value for their stakeholders. As part of the process, judges consider efficiency in providing banking services and products, the degree of customer satisfaction, the use of innovation in channels and distribution, as well as innovate practices that promote increased revenues and profits in the market.

Adopting strategies to enhance digital services 
Waleed Al Amoudi, Head of Digital Banking at Sharjah Islamic Bank, said: “The bank’s digital transformation strategy continues to be recognized, most recently by winning an Infosys Finacle Innovation Award. Amid stiff competition, with more than 270 nominations across 10 categories from banks around the world, we were honored with the Best Digital Banking Transformation Award. We consider this victory renewed evidence of the efficacy of our efforts and the overall excellence of the banking sector in the United Arab Emirates.”

Al Amoudi stressed that Sharjah Islamic Bank is keen to continue to adopt initiatives that will enhance its digital service offering to customers. It is also continuously working to introduce innovative and easy to use solutions via the latest technologies.

Innovative solutions and outstanding services
The SIB has won several prestigious awards in recognition of its innovative solutions and outstanding services, including the Most Innovative Digital Bank Award at the 8th International Finance Awards in 2020, the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Business Innovation Award, the Wells Fargo Operational Excellence Award for Excellence in banking transactions for transfers, and the Dubai Service Excellence Program 2021 Award for Best Brand in the Electronic Services Category, among others.
