Sharjah focuses on post-COVID tourism in SITTF

Sharjah 24: His Excellency Khalid Jassim Al Midfa, Chairman of Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority (SCTDA), revealed that under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, attended the Sharjah International Travel and Tourism Forum 2021 (SITTF) activities, which began Wednesday.
His Excellency Al Midfa told "Sharjah 24" that the forum brings together a large number of experts in the field of tourism and travel, and that future expectations in the promising tourism sector, which supports the economy and development movement, will be realised through dialogue and interactive sessions held as part of the forum's activities.

His Excellency stated that prior to the pandemic, tourism contributed 10% of global GDP, valued up to $7.2 trillion, and that the SCTDA anticipates that the UAE will confront the pandemic and all of its effects in the next stage, thanks to this forum and the UAE's flexible laws and regulations.

His Excellency Al Midfa underlined that Sharjah has become a model for quality project promotion that has a greater influence on the infrastructure of tourism destinations, reflecting positively on the sector and offering appealing aspects for companies and operators from across the world.
