Sharjah24: The third edition of Sharjah Kalba Arabian Horse Festival (SKAHF), which was organised by Sharjah Equestrian and Racing Club, concluded on the shores of Kalba.
The inaugurating ceremony of the festival was attended by Sheikh Saeed bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Deputy Head of the Ruler’s Office in Khorfakkan, in the presence of Sheikh Abdullah bin Majid Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Higher Organising Committee of the festival, and a large number of officials and owners of horse stables and those interested in this important Arab and national heritage.
In statements to “Sharjah 24”, Sheikh Saeed bin Saqr expressed his happiness with the great success of the festival, which was held for the third year, under the generous patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah.
Sheikh Saeed bin Saqr emphasised that the competitions were characterised by great participation of groups of Arab horses, which contributed to achieving remarkable success and attracting large number of audience.
He stressed that the festival is one of the prominent events hosted in Kalba and has a remarkable impact on the sports, heritage and tourism levels, praising the efforts of the festival's organising committee.
