“Sultan Bin Khalifa Al Nahyan Cup” inaugurates SERC season

Sharjah 24: Sharjah Equestrian and Racing Club (SERC) revealed that "HH Sheikh Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nahyan Race Cup" will be the first race in the srason, which starts on Saturday with the participation of 83 purebred Arabian, local and hybrid horses, who compete for the 300 thousand-dirham prizes.
" Sheikh Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nahyan Race Cup", the first race of the "Sharjah Longines Track Season", kicks off on Saturday at SERC.
Races are held under the generous guidance and patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah.
The race is held with a strong participation of 83 purebred Arabian, local and hybrid horses. The race consists of six runs of various distances and levels.

The first race will be the “Dolce Vita Group from Longines”, which is intended for 3-year-old purebred Arabian horses, for a distance of 1000 metres, with 40 thousand-dirham prizes.

The second race, will be the “Record Group from Longines”, which is intended for the 4-year-old purebred Arabian horses, for a distance of 2000m, with 40 thousand-dirham prizes.

The third race will be the “Elegant Group from Longines” race, dedicated to 4-year-old purebred Arabian horses, for a distance of 1700 meters, with 40 thousand-dirham prizes.


The fourth race will be the “Conquest Group of Longines”, which is an equalisation race for 4-year-old purebred Arabian horses, for a 1700-metre distance, with 40 thousand-dirham prizes.

The fifth and main race is "HH Sheikh Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nahyan Race Cup", which is held under the auspices of the “Master Collection from Longines.” It is a race dedicated to 4-year-old purebred Arabian horses, for a distance of 1700m, 100 thousand-dirham prizes.

The sixth and concluding race which is the “Saint-Imier Group of Longines race” an equalisation race dedicated to 3-year old purebred crossbreds, for a distance of 1700m, with 40 thousand-dirham prizes.
