Dr Abdulaziz Al-Musallam stated, "This year's Sharjah International Narrator Forum's theme is "Animal Tales," and it covers a broad range of animal tales in Arab and international culture, beginning with Aesop's Fables to Kalila and Dimna, and continuing through what Al-Jahiz wrote in " Book of the Animals ", Al-Damiri's “Life of Animals”, and other Arab and universal narrators.
Sheikha Al-Mutairi talked about Animal Manuscripts at the Juma Al Majid Centre for Culture and Heritage. Abdullah Abdul Rahman, a scholar and media person, dealt with the types of animals in the Al Dhafra region.
Dr Salem Al Tunaiji discussed animal tales in Dr Abdel Aziz Al Muslim's Encyclopaedia of Folk Fables, which has been translated into other languages. Fatima Al-Mughni, an Emirati heritage expert, spoke about animal tales in the Holy Qur'an.
The forum held a session titled "Dr Ahmed Abdel Rahim Nasr," the honoured personality in this year's forum, the Sudanese renowned scholar of Cultural Heritage. Dr Nasr was speaking about the course of his life, with a focus on the Sudanese Studies Series Division, which was founded in 1964 and then expanded in 1972 to become an Institute for Studies.
The 21st Sharjah International Narrator Forum featured a session on Abdelaziz Laroui, Tunisia's "Forum's celebrated figure" and pioneer of folk tales.
