Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Economic Development Department (SEDD) hosted a virtual workshop titled "My First Enterprise" with a number of entrepreneurs interested in launching their businesses. This workshop, which was presented by the trainer and business consultant Hamed Al Ali, focused on introducing the participants to the main and important steps to start launching an entrepreneurial project. AlAli informed the participants of the proper steps and foundations for entering the world of entrepreneurship, such as learning and acquiring the qualities that any entrepreneur requires, as well as the information and data that he or she requires.
The workshop included many topics, including finding the right idea and discovering opportunities in the market, typical steps to run a business, initial and financial planning to study the feasibility of the project, in addition to discussing the accelerators of implementation, establishment and successful start-up of the project.
HE Sultan Abdullah bin Hadda Al Suwaidi, SEDD Chairman, stressed on the Department’s concerns to continuously provide different courses and workshops to business owners. He added that such thing would contribute to consolidation of the strategic vision of the emirate, which aims to advance the wheel of innovation and achieve a positive impact.
HE emphasized on the importance of entrepreneurship and its contribution to the economic sector and the provision of job opportunities in the emirate.
Ahmed bin Saed Al Suwaidi, Deputy Director of Commercial Affairs Department, stated that the workshop comes within SEDD’s plans to implement a series of advanced training workshops that contribute to enhancing the vital role of entrepreneurs and motivating them to move forward in establishing their own projects.
