Sharjah 24: Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of Sharjah Executive Council (SEC), chaired on Tuesday the weekly meeting of SEC at the Ruler's Office in the presence of Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah. The Council approved the first batch of housing support beneficiaries of 2021.

The meeting, which was held in the Ruler's Office, discussed a number of topics on its agenda to follow up on the most prominent developments in government work and plans to develop services in various government departments in the Emirate.

In implementation of the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, aimed at supporting family stability and providing a decent life for citizens, the Council approved the first batch of housing support beneficiaries for the year 2021 AD, with a total value of 382 million dirhams, to be distributed among 523 beneficiaries of housing grants and loans.



The total value of housing support in all previous payments so far has reached 6 billion 849 million dirhams, and according to the new batch, which included all cities and regions of the Emirate of Sharjah, the list targeted beneficiaries of new construction services, completion, addition and maintenance, and obtaining ready government housing, and mini-residential units.



The Council also approved the list of beneficiaries of the converted housing support decision, to be turned from the loan category to the grant category, with a total value of 19 million and 700 thousand dirhams.



During the meeting, the council adopted the memorandum of understanding to be concluded between the Sharjah Department of Culture (SDC)and the Ministry of Culture in Jordan, aiming to strengthen the bonds of cultural cooperation and achieve common aspirations to advance creativity between the two countries, contributing to achieving a poetic renaissance by encouraging poetry in all its various forms.



As part of keeping abreast with the great development in the tourism sector and the modernization of tourism legislation that supports the growth of tourism and its workers, the Council approved a memorandum of legislative permission submitted by the Commerce & Tourism Development Authority (CTDA) on a draft decision regulating the profession of tourist guides in the Emirate of Sharjah.
