Sharjah24 – AFP: Environmental movement Extinction Rebellion demonstrate in central London as part of a two-week climate change protest campaign.
Commenting on this, Sam Silverlock, protester said, "This climate crisis is a global crisis, it's not just a human crisis, it's not just an economic crisis, it's a crisis of nature, and we depend on nature to sustain ourselves, so that's why we're here. Without nature we die."
Another protester, Marta, added, "I'm here because the climate crisis is the biggest crisis that's facing humanity at the moment, and as well as the climate there's also an ecological crisis. So, we're going through a mass extinction event at the moment, and I think it's really really important to raise awareness of that, and to get systemic change, so that we look after all the beings that are living on this Earth, not just as humans."
