Sharjah 24 – Reuters: An hotelier in India's southern city of Visakhapatnam replaced windowpanes with solar panels on his hotel in a bid to curb pollution by relying less on natural resources like coal. Owner Narayana Rao spent over $50,000 to equip his five-storey guesthouse with 201 solar panels in a bid to curb air pollution by relying less on coal.
The hotel owner explained "If I use glass or aqua panels on my building, then I have to consume 40 kilowatt of electricity. This electricity is produced from coal and hydropower. With the use of solar panels, I am at least contributing towards saving that 40 kW that I consume. That is the small contribution I am making to the environment."

"I installed solar panels that produce 100 kilowatt of power per day. I utilize as per my requirement and the remaining power I give back to the grid. This means I will get back my investment in the next six years," he continued.
