Sharjah24: Sheikh Haitham bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Deputy Head of the Ruler's Office in Kalba City witnessed a ceremony honouring a number of distinguished Emirati women in different fields, as part of an event organised by the Parents’ Council in Kalba on Thursday, on the occasion of the Emirati Women's Day.
Dr. Obaid Saleh Almukhttin, vice-chairman of the council, has expressed pleasure with the ceremony, which was held on Thursday, explaining that it included a diverse exhibition of the products and creations of a number of businesswomen in the city, bwing held was held in the lobby of the University of Sharjah Kalba branch building, which hosted the honoring ceremony in its university theater.
In statements to “Sharjah 24”, he stressed that the ceremony aimed to honour the distinguished women in the fields of education, health and public work, in recognition of their achievements on Emirati Women's Day. The number of honorees reached to about 80 personalities.
The ceremony included various activities that highlighted the achievements of Emirati women leaders from the city’s residents. Among the attendees of the ceremony were His Excellency Dr. Sulaiman Abdullah Sarhan Al Zaabi, Chairman of the Municipal Council of Kalba City, Dr. Ali Obaid Al Zaabi, Chairman of the Parents Council, a number of officials and a large crowd of distinguished women in several fields.
