Sharjah 24: The Sharjah National Oil Corporation (SNOC) has announced the launch of its third National Development Programme in the last quarter of 2021, after success of its previous 2019 version of the programme.
The programme aims to train Emirati petroleum- and geoscience graduates to work in the petroleum and gas industry.
The four-month programme, which is Sharjah's first applied education programme, will be held every two years.
The Sharjah Petroleum Council will commence the 2021 programme in collaboration with the National Hydrocarbon Agency (ENI), with the goal of training eight Emirati individuals aged 20 to 28 who have a bachelor's degree in petroleum engineering or geology.
"The programme has supplied the Sharjah National Oil Corporation with a number of new employees who have the highest standards," said Hatem Al Mosa, CEO of Sharjah National Oil Corporation. "The most qualified participants will have the opportunity to work in the corporation.”
