Sharjah24: Ibrahim Al-Jarwan, a member of the Arab Union for Astronomy and Space Sciences, confirmed that the Earth witnessed, on Tuesday evening April 27, the phenomenon of the Super moon, as the full moon for the month of Ramadan was completed at 07:32 a.m. UAE local time, coinciding with the moon reaching its perigee.
The moon comes to Earth during its cycle, "as it was 357.378 km from the Earth at 19:30 UAE time, and the moon was the largest and brightest this year, pointing out that the difference between the full moon and the perihelion position is less than 12 hours.

Al Jarwan explained, in exclusive statements to "Sharjah 24", that the disk of the moon was at the "closest" perihelion position compared to the apparently "farthest" apogee, 15% more than usual, and the lighting rate was 27% higher with the phenomenon of the giant moon.

A member of the Arab Union for Astronomy and Space Sciences indicated that there is a special lunar name for each of the full moon or full moon in a year, and that these names belong to the indigenous people in the United States, pointing out that the indigenous tribes in North and East America traced the seasons a few hundred years ago.
