SIB distributes 4000 food baskets for needy families

Sharjah 24: Sharjah Islamic Bank (SIB) launched its Ramadan community initiative for the second year in a row, which includes the distribution of 4000 food baskets to needy families, in cooperation with the Sharjah Charity International (SCI), as part of its efforts to enhance the values of solidarity and cohesion among all segments of society.
Hassan Al Balghouni, Head of Corporate Communications at Sharjah Islamic Bank (SIB), stated that the initiative comes within the framework of SIB's endeavour to keep its operations and community initiatives in line with the developments imposed by the current exceptional circumstances of the COVID-19 pandemic. 

Al Balghouni indicated that SIB has been keen annually for 16 years, to organise intensive charitable programmes during the month of Ramadan, which was done through Ramadan tents, providing thousands of Iftar meals to the fasting people over the days of the holy month in various locations in the Emirate of Sharjah.

He added that the distribution of the Ramadan mir began through dedicated boxes containing all the basic food and consumer needs that families need during the blessed month, such as rice, sugar, salt, oil, flour, milk, wheat, lentils, and other materials.
