Sharjah 24: Najla Al Midfa, CEO of the Sharjah Entrepreneurship Centre (Sheraa), expressed happiness in the strategic partnership with Sharjah FDI Office (Invest in Sharjah), to advance the entrepreneurship system and develop startups.
She confirmed that the partnership with Invest in Sharjah comes within the framework of Sheraa’s commitment to cooperate with various economic institutions and bodies in the emirate to achieve its goals in promoting the entrepreneurship system and developing emerging projects that depend on technology, by supporting the founders of companies to develop their ideas, and prepare them to enter the world of investments.
In her exclusive statement to “Sharjah 24”, Al Midfa added that Sheraa has made various achievements during the past five years, the most important of which is the graduation of more than 100 start-up companies in the field of technology and innovation to contribute to promoting the growth of the emirate's economy, which comes in line with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, and under the generous patronage of Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi, Chairperson of Sharjah Entrepreneurship Centre.
Al Midfa indicated that the Sharjah Foreign Direct Investment Office has been approved as a strategic partner for (Sheraa), and we are happy with this agreement, as it will allow emerging companies to benefit from the wide network of (Invest in Sharjah) office from local and regional investors, in addition to the services provided by the office to investors, and linking them directly to the Sharjah Investor Services Centre (SAEED), which provides quality and integrated services under one roof.
“We look forward to working together towards achieving our common vision in strengthening the position of the Emirate of Sharjah as a leading and vital hub for innovative startups, and consolidating its role in advancing the wheel economic progress and sustainable development in the UAE,” Al Midfa concluded.
