Sharjah 24: Issa Hilal Al Hazami, Chairman of the Sharjah Sports Council (SSC) and members of the Board of Directors praised the initiative of the Ittihad Kalba football Club Company after the decision to withdraw the complaint in protest against the ruling of the team's match against Al Nasr in the Arabian Gulf League to preserve the stability of the UAE football system.
He said: “We are used to learning from His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah’s positive and high-end initiatives that represent the value of sport and the importance of creating a suitable atmosphere.”
He added: “His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah always talks about the importance of clean and honest competitions, and this is evidence of his insightful vision and the need for sportsmanship to prevail in all matches and for the clubs of the emirate to be examples to be emulated in the advancement of sports and high sporting values translating His Highness’s advice to all athletes in the emirate.”
He continued that Ittihad Kalba’s move represents an affirmation of sport’s great meanings, and the Council and its clubs are keen on stabilising the general sporting atmosphere, which is reflected in everyone’s desire for what is in the public interest.
Al Hazami concluded: We seek to create the atmosphere for the continuation of the football season and to preserve the good image of Emirati arbitration away from crises in order to bring stability to Emirati football in general.
