Sharjah 24 – Reuters: The Huachipa zoo in Lima welcome two endangered baby American crocodiles that were born through artificial insemination last month.
The crocodile eggs were incubated for 90 days. A total of 24 eggs were incubated but only two survived.
Huachipa Zoo, Jose Flores, said:"We managed to reproduce these specimens of the American crocodile, or as we call them in Peru, the Tumbes crocodile. These animals are in danger of extinction and all the animals in our zoo are rescues from illegal animal trafficking recovered by the state."

American crocodiles can grow up to 16 ft and are classified as an endangered species.
