Sharjah 24: Al Qasimia University (AQU) students received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine, in line with the efforts to strengthen the prevention and safety measures among students of the university and to continue the efforts initiated by the Deanship of Student Affairs to preserve the health of male and female students since the beginning of the pandemic.
The vaccine the students received, on Tuesday, comes as part of the #4Humanity campaign launched by the United Arab Emirates as part of the country's pioneering and continuous efforts to curb the global epidemic.

The first dose was provided to various students within the framework of the university's coordination with the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP), with the aim of providing the dose to all students within the framework of the university’s plan to work on immunising students from the coronavirus and limiting its spread.

Dr. Awad Al Khalaf, Acting Chancellor of Al Qasimia University, stressed the importance of the university’s efforts in light of its strategic plan to ensure the safety of students by providing opportunities for vaccination for all students by securing the first dose and the second dose in accordance with the directives of the wise leadership.

He pointed out that directing students to take the vaccine is one of the important efforts at Al Qasimia University to protect them, raising the quality of life on the campus, and limiting  the spread of COVID-19.
