Sharjah24: His Excellency Major General Saif Al-Zari Al Shamsi, commander-in-chief of Sharjah Police and head of the local emergency crisis and disaster team in Sharjah, witnessed the inauguration of the workshop, entitled "Planning for Recovery from Covid-19", organised by the National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority in cooperation with the local emergency and crisis team in the Emirate of Sharjah, in the presence of a number of local and federal authorities in the country.
The workshop, being held on Tuesday in the Leadership Hall at the headquarters of the Sharjah Police Officers Club, and will continue until Thursday of this week, aimed at raising the levels of local cadres, their readiness to face the challenges in situations of emergencies, crises and disasters.
In his opening speech, Major General Saif Al-Zari Al Shamsi has welcome to the attendees, expressing his appreciation for the efforts made by all parties participating in the work of the local emergency and crisis team in the Emirate of Sharjah.” He highlighted the significance importance of the workshop to promote the public safety, through discussing various health issues and plans aiming to raise awareness on curbing the spread of coronavirus.
