In a new lesson of nation building and public action, His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah, during his speech at the opening of the Al Wusta Channel in Al Dhaid, expresses the essence of his idea and the source of these efforts, and the location of the sustainable development strategy that Sharjah is pursuing, which is (a decent life), this life that summarizes the programmes great work and constructive efforts to reach what is meant by the comprehensive and integrated phrase, which needs to be achieved with knowledge, diligence, dedication to work and intent to serve the children, family and society, so that a decent life is the crown of supreme responsibility that directs and leads all ideas, visions, policies and efforts to bring the meaning of the phrase down to the lived reality that pleases everyone.
His Highness cites during his speech the famous verse of Arabic poetry, which talks about the pride and dignity of the Arab human being, which is the line between his acceptance of life or lack thereof, who speaks in the tongue of a whole community, if it is associated with pride and dignity.
The poet introduces in one verse only what is meant by pride and dignity for the Arab person, and it is an eloquent verse that depicts the way of understanding life based on dignity and lawful living, and what follows from the value of work and its effect on self-satisfaction and its impact on sons and daughters in following the path of dignity which is the highest degrees of human self-respect, his family, his society and his homeland, and among them is the correct and real education to build educated generations, who know the meaning of the homeland and decent life.
His Highness says, this is the first dose that you give to a person, and it is a dose that requires a wide programme, full presence and depth of knowledge, because it is related to the lives of people, knowing their needs, appreciat it, supporting and interduce them, and it is a great project that dives into the community’s pension and provides what helps a decent life in all fields, in the first place, so that there is a person who seeks good and works to return the favor to his homeland and society, and all that giving stems from the basis of dignity for a person, and the image here is complete and the person is proud of himself.
