Sharjah 24: Al Dhaid Sports Club has made a new achievement at both Arab and Gulf levels at the conclusion of the first Gulf Shooting Championship, which was held through electronic communication.
The Club’s player, Ahmed Hassan Al Hafiti, broke the Arab and Gulf records by achieving 620 points in the youth category, amid wide participation from Gulf teams.
The two-day championship was organised by the UAE Shooting Federation, to be the first championship held in light of the suspension of sports life amid the Coronavirus epidemic.
Al Hafiti expressed his happiness with this sporting achievement, stressing that it came following a long and continuous training, thanking Al Dhaid Club, the UAE Shooting Federation and Sharjah Sports Council for their great support.
In this regard, Salem Mohammed bin Huwaiden, Chairman of Al Dhaid Club, praised the success of the championship, and the club's player for achieving a large sports figure at the conclusion of the tournament, indicating that the club will not hesitate to support Al Hafiti and all the club's players in the sport of shooting as well as harnessing all capabilities in cooperation with the Sharjah Sports Council and the UAE Shooting Federation in this regard.
