Dr. Abdul Aziz Al Musallam, Chairman of the Sharjah Institute for Heritage, said that the Institute contributes to preserving the historical heritage that constitutes the cultural identity of human civilisation.
Aisha Al Hussan Al Shamsi, Director of the Arabian Heritage Centre, said that Audio-visual documents, such as films, radio and television programmes, are a common heritage, and through such initiatives as the World Day for Audiovisual Heritage, such heritage is encouraged and preserved.
Khawla Al Alili, Director of Evaluation and Selection of Radio Programmes at the Sharjah Broadcasting Authority, spoke about a special section entitled “Sharjah Broadcasting Authority is the best custodian of heritage.”
Photographer Ali Al Sharif touched on documentation and archiving during the last fifty years, and the professors of modern history at Hassan II University in Morocco spoke in a hypothetical intervention about Morocco in the European Archives, namely in France, Spain, Italy and Portugal.
