Named “aquaponics”, the technology helps plants grow with fish and aquatic animals together as a symbiotic combination, indoors.
Chiraag Shewakramani, Business Development Manager at MGMH, during an exclusive interview with “Sharjah 24”, stated that in aquaponics, it is prohibited to add any kind of chemicals or gardening pesticides for such addition would harm the fish. Also, the amount of water used is less by 80%, and the cooling cost is less by 90% compared to traditional green houses.
Shewakramani also added that the company wants to prove to Sharjah, the UAE, and the world, that this innovative technology can solve numerous problems that are facing humanity nowadays. Even in the harshest of climates in the world, aquaponics would be able to establish food security and a comfortable life for everyone.
