Sharjah24: The Sharjah Sports Council closed the curtain on the Mleiha Mountain Bike Race on Friday, March 19, 2021 in front of the Mleiha Archeology Center for a distance of 26 km in the mountain bike and desert bike categories as part of its community races series in a strategic partnership with the Sharjah Women’s Sports and in cooperation with the Al Qudra Sports Services Company.
The race and the crowning of the winners were witnessed by His Excellency Mohammad Sanad Al Qubaisi, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Cycling Federation, His Excellency Abdul Malik Jani, Vice Chairman of the Sharjah Sports Council, His Excellency Adel Saleh Al Hammadi, Member of the Board of Directors, His Excellency Muhammad Sultan Al Khasouni, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Maliha Cultural and Sports Club, and Yasser Omar Al Dokhi. Director of the Sports and Community Events Department of the Council.
On this occasion, His Excellency Issa Hilal Al Hazami, Chairman of the Sharjah Sports Council, praised the excellence and success of the Mleiha mountain bike race as a new event added to the agenda of the Council’s activities for this year with various participation from various groups of society in an effort to make every sporting and community event successful in implementation of the visions and directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah.
