He added that the current edition of Sharjah Heritage Days, which will kick off on March 20, will be held in exceptional circumstances in light of the covid-19 pandemic affecting the whole world. He explained that, due to these conditions, the Sharjah Police sees to it that special protocols and precautionary measures are to be followed by the visitors to curb the spread of the pandemic.

In an exclusive statement to “Sharjah 24”, Al Shamsi pointed out that police field teams and volunteers are assigned to ensure the implementation of preventive measures including wearing face masks, social distancing, traffic movement control outside the venue of the event and other measures that guarantee the overall safety.
