Sharjah24 – KUNA: South Korea added 467 new coronavirus cases on Wednesday, bringing the country's total caseload to 79,311, said Yonhap News Agency.
The country reported six more deaths, raising the total to 1,441, the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said. Of the locally transmitted cases, 184 came from Seoul and 107 were reported from Gyeonggi Province that surrounds the capital. The government on Sunday extended Level 2.5 social distancing rules, the second highest in its five-tier scheme, in the greater Seoul area and Level Two measures in other regions for another two weeks until February 14. Under the extended rules, private gatherings of more than five people are banned almost across the entire country during the designated period. Restaurants and coffee shops are also required to finish operations at 09:00 p.m.
