Sharjah 24 – AFP: BioNTech of Germany and Pfizer of the United States, who collaborated to produce a Covid-19 vaccine in record time, announced Wednesday that they are working on a shingles vaccine that might demonstrate high effectiveness and tolerance using the same revolutionary mRNA technology.
The companies announced a partnership and plan to begin clinical studies in the second half of 2022.

The Pfizer/BioNTech coronavirus vaccine was the first Covid vaccine authorized in the West in late 2020.

These vaccines, which trigger an immune response by transferring genetic material coding for crucial pathogen elements into human cells, might revolutionize the fight against numerous illnesses.

They also develop faster than traditional vaccines.

Shingles is a frequent condition caused by reactivation of the chickenpovirus. It can cause severe skin patches, facial paralysis, hearing, and blindness.
