Sharjah24: The call center and emergency teams of the Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority (SEWA) announced that they have started reviewing and updating procedures and fully prepared and ready to receive the rainy season. The authority provided a number of communication ways to request support and provide feedback by calling the call center 991 or the authority’s website and via WhatsApp service on the number 800SEWA.
This came during the meeting held by the authority under the directives of His Excellency Saeed Al Suwaidi, Chairman of SEWA, with a number of emergency offices officials to review the procedures for the work of emergency teams and to develop an integrated action plan to deal with complaints as soon as possible, especially during the rainy season in which the percentage of reports increases.
His Excellency Saeed Al Suwaidi, confirmed that the authority is working to review all procedures and work to update them in accordance with the requirements and needs of customers, in implementation of the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah.
He directed the Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority emergency teams to make more efforts during emergency weather phenomena such as torrential rains and winds, and to coordinate and cooperate 24 hours a day with all departments, authorities and institutions in Sharjah to provide the best services to the residents of the emirate.
Sherif Abdullah Al Ahmad, Director of the Call Center, indicated that the torrential rains lead to a rise in the water level in residential areas, which leads to the arrival of water to some distribution panels in the buildings, and in this case cooperation with the municipality is to implement some of the necessary measures to avoid water reaching the panels and suction water and prepare teams of technicians to perform the necessary maintenance and restore the power in the fastest time.
