Salem Ali Al Ghaithi, Director of SBA, attended the session alongside the Authority's television and radio channel directors, along with a number of department heads and staff.
The session was hosted by Abdulaziz Mohammed Ali, a programme coordinator who is also an author and runs his own publishing house; Hessa Al Zarouni, a graphic designer whose work spans design, entrepreneurship, and heritage; and Mohammed Qamber, a programme scheduler who moonlights as an electric guitarist.
The three speakers walked the audience through how they balance their professional roles with their personal pursuits and how skills picked up in one field end up feeding the other. The conversation centred on using a mix of backgrounds and expertise to strengthen both a creative practice and a career path—rather than treating the two as competing for time.
The session reflected SBA's stated push to get staff developing their talents in ways that also feed back into their professional growth and creative range.
The session closed with an open discussion, where employees put questions to the panel and traded ideas and experiences of their own. It gave colleagues a chance to learn more about each other's interests and talents outside their formal job titles.
SBA says the "SBA Talks" series will continue giving staff a space to share their stories, skills, and knowledge—part of a broader push to strengthen ties between teams and encourage the exchange of experience built up across the Authority's various departments.
