The initiative aims to teach seniors basic reading, writing and numeracy skills through three core subjects: Arabic, mathematics and social studies, alongside Quran memorisation classes.

Speaking to “Sharjah 24,” Al Jabri said the initiative also offers accompanying programmes and activities, including summer and winter camps, sports activities, and visits to tourist attractions in Sharjah and elsewhere, aimed at diversifying the learning experience and making productive use of participants’ time.

She added that the programmes include cultural and technology-related activities to familiarise participants with the latest developments across various fields and help them keep pace with changes in their daily lives.
