Hessa Mohammed Al Hammadi, Director of the Community Cohesion Department, stated that SSSD's involvement comprised the presentation of seven new services and initiatives. These included the Smart Social Advisor (Aamer), a multilingual virtual assistant for faster, more efficient online services; the "With a Touch, We Reach" service, which uses WhatsApp location detection to assist elderly and bedridden people in emergencies; and the Digital Employee Performance System, which monitors staff performance in real time to boost productivity.
Al Hammadi also highlighted the Social Impact Measurement System, which uses an electronic platform to assess the social effects of the department's services in accordance with the Sustainable Development Goals 2030 and the UAE Centenary 2071. Another programme, the Community Responsibility Platform, encourages individuals and institutions to get involved in social solidarity projects, sponsor community events, and fund creative community-based activities.
The Digital Life Ambassadors Programme has taught over 808 youngsters, including those with impairments, to serve as peer educators on safe social media use. The program uses creative and instructional approaches to promote awareness of internet threats, such as cyberbullying and blackmail.
The Interactive Map identifies volunteer opportunities throughout Sharjah and its cities, allowing volunteers to select activities based on geography. The system encourages efficiency, adaptability, and community participation.
Al Hammadi finished by highlighting the importance of contemporary technologies in providing better social services and achieving communal sustainability. She emphasised that social innovation remained a critical pillar of the SSSD's aim: to improve the quality of life for all members of society. The organisation provides AED 164.5 million as a monthly grant for ten years.
