Al Jazira Football Club Company has appointed Romanian coach Cosmin Olaroiu to lead the club's first football team until 2028, replacing Marino Pušić, who has departed the club.

Olaroiu's appointment comes following his departure from coaching the UAE national team. He previously managed Al Ain, Shabab Al Ahli and Sharjah, guiding the clubs to numerous titles and trophies.

Distinguished coaching career

The Romanian coach has also managed Steaua Bucharest, Saudi Arabia's Al Hilal, Qatar's Al Sadd and China's Jiangsu Suning.

Throughout his career, Olaroiu has won numerous domestic and continental honours, including the UAE Super Cup, ADNOC Pro League title, President's Cup, AFC Champions League Two, Saudi Pro League title, Romanian league championship and several other trophies.
