In Borno State's Biu County, an attack targeting a military outpost in Mandaragarao left five soldiers dead. Army spokesman Haruna Sani confirmed the incident, stating that troops successfully repelled the assault and inflicted multiple casualties on the retreating attackers.

In a separate confrontation, security sources reported that militants stormed a military base in Gajigana, located approximately 50 kilometers from the Borno State capital of Maiduguri. A heavy exchange of gunfire ensued, resulting in the deaths of three additional soldiers.
