The University of Sharjah is finalising its Spring 2026 graduation celebrations, with around 2,000 students set to graduate across a series of ceremonies taking place over five days.
Professor Eid Kanaan, Dean of Student Affairs, said the graduating class includes postgraduate students, graduates from the medical and health sciences colleges, and students from the university's various faculties.
Speaking to “Sharjah 24,” Professor Kanaan explained that the celebrations will begin next Thursday with a ceremony for postgraduate students.
Graduates from the Colleges of Medicine, Dentistry, and Pharmacy will be honoured on Saturday morning, followed by a separate ceremony that evening for students in the health sciences programmes.
Male graduates from the University's other colleges will be celebrated on Sunday, while the graduation season will conclude on Monday with a ceremony for female graduates.
He added that the university is keen to equip graduating students with the latest knowledge to keep pace with scientific and technological developments, and to prepare them for the demands of the labour market, not only in the UAE but globally.
