Sulaiman Abdulrahman claimed the men’s 400m title in a championship-record time of 44.85 seconds, becoming the first athlete in the event’s history to break the 45-second barrier. Aminat Qamar Al-Din also secured gold in the women’s 400m with a personal best of 52.72 seconds.
Officials described Abdulrahman’s run as the standout performance of the competition, noting he broke the previous record of 45.53 seconds set in 2024. The UAE Athletics Federation said the results reflect strong national support for sport development and the country’s long-term strategy to build future champions.
