Sharjah24 - WAM: A 6.1-magnitude earthquake hit the islands of Tonga in the South Pacific, the United States Geological Survey (USGS) reported.

Epicentre and depth

According to the USGS, the earthquake occurred approximately 114 kilometres northeast of the village of Hihifo, at a depth of 10 kilometres.

No immediate reports of damage

There have been no immediate reports of casualties or material damage.
