Participation from across the UAE and GCC
Camel racing enthusiasts from across the UAE and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) attended the festival. A total of 126 races were held during the mornings and evenings, including ten special symbol races with prizes for the winners.
Highlights of the final day
On the concluding day, Sheikh Mohammed bin Humaid Al Qasimi, President of the Sharjah Department of Statistics and Community Development, attended a 6-kilometre race that drew significant attention from fans of this traditional sport.
Winners and special awards
The Sharjah Ruler's Sword was awarded to "Hamloula," owned by Zayed Mohammed Zayed Al Mansouri, while the Ruler's Rifle went to "Al Faris," owned by Mohammed Saeed bin Khatem Al Shamsi.
Leadership support and recognition
Abdullah Mohammed Maadad bin Huweidan Al Ketbi praised His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan for his strong support of camel racing throughout the kingdom. He also commended the Ruler of Sharjah for his continued backing of the festival, which has become a symbol of generosity and a key gathering for heritage sport enthusiasts from the Gulf.
Al Ketbi further acknowledged Sharjah’s Deputy Ruler, Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem Al Qasimi, for his efforts to enhance the sport, noting that this year’s festival attracted unprecedented participation, highlighting its growing importance.
