UAE President, UK PM discuss strengthening bilateral ties

Sharjah 24 – WAM: His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, received a phone call from the Rt Hon Sir Keir Starmer, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, to discuss strengthening bilateral cooperation.

Strengthening UAE-UK relations

During the call, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Rt Hon Sir Keir Starmer reaffirmed their commitment to ongoing collaboration, aiming to build on the longstanding UAE-UK relationship to promote prosperity and advance peace and stability in the Middle East and globally.

Addressing regional developments and humanitarian efforts

The discussion also focused on the latest regional developments, particularly the humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip. Both leaders emphasized the importance of maintaining the ceasefire and ensuring uninterrupted humanitarian aid to support affected civilians.

Advocating a just and lasting peace

His Highness and the UK Prime Minister highlighted the urgent need to pursue a just and lasting peace based on a two-state solution, viewing it as the only viable path to regional stability and a better future for the peoples of the Middle East.
